Puppy Playtime

Complimentary weekly play sessions for puppies 9 – 12 weeks (up to 14 weeks of age depending on the puppy’s size and temperament – consult with Jan to ensure Puppy Playtime is right for your puppy). Early socialization is crucial for the development of good temperament and confidence. Tuesdays at 7 – 7:30 pm. Children + family members welcome.

Puppies may participate as long as is feasible, usually 3-4 sessions. Pre-register with clinical staff or at the end of puppy party. Must have first vaccines and been in their new home for minimum of one week.

Puppy Classes

Four evening weekly sessions. Tuesdays from 8 – 9:30. Topics include basic commands, solving puppy problems, understanding canine behaviour, hygiene, games, socialization and puppy playtime. Family participation encouraged. Children eight yrs. and older welcome. Large breed puppies must be under 16 weeks to attend.

Paws-itive Puppy Tips Seminars

Housetraining seminars held in-clinic on the first Tuesday of each month. 7 – 7:30 pm. Complimentary program for all puppy owners. How to easily win the housetraining challenge! Humans only please. For puppy participation, see other programs. Pre-registration with reception required.

  • Puppy Advice – Tips on how to deal with common puppy problems, e.g., nipping & biting, housetraining, integrating with other household pets, children and puppies. Complimentary service for clients. By appointment. 20 minute sessions available .
  • Pre-selection counselling – To make sure a family finds the right β€œfit” with a new pet. Discussion of lifestyle and care options with different breeds. Helping people make an educated choice. By appointment with clinic reception staff. Please give 24 hours notice so reference material can be prepared prior to consultation.
